I am enjoying my time here at the University. I just recently transferred over here, and the staff are very helpful with my needs. They've assisted me with my transition into the University and have guided me through my registration process.

This university is amazing. The professors are experts in their fields and teach their students effectively. The campus itself is in great condition. I would definitely recommend the University of Guam to others.

Terrible dorms: to begin this review I have to say the dorm living is absolutely awful and the person in charge should be fire immediately as I have seen rats, co*ckroaches, and various bugs and critters throughout the dorms. Unsafe with no warm water in dorm one for the first 2 months. The only positive are the RAs as they understand the terrible conditions and try their hardest to make it better. Terrible food: food is way to oily and processed which gives many students food poisoning. Not acceptable and a health violation. Lack of student events and zero student engagement. No sense of guidance for new students especially international students. To cap it all off way to expensive for a sub-par education yet the professors are great but it’s just everything else around the professors that are terrible. Two of the only good things here are: the library and the business building.

The university of Guam is not the "ideal" university students would want to go to, but it has its perks. The University of Guam does not offer many majors as we would like. The environment isn't too astonishing. It's an alright school.

It was very easy to talk to the staff especially when I needed help. They were very fast to reply to my concerns. Especially since I was off island and cant physically be there yet.

Although the University of Guam is a small campus on an island that isn't very well known by the rest of the world, the comfortable environment it holds is unmatched. The professors, staff, and students are extremely kind and are willing to help you with anything. The University is still growing and developing in wonderful ways and its future is bright.

So far, I have enjoyed my experience at the University of Guam. Although a majority of my time attending the school has been from online meetings, I have been able to explore the campus more with my face to face classes this semester. I enjoy the environment and the many different resources such as cafes, food trucks, free printing in the computer lab, free internet access, spaces to study in the library, as well as green zones that are used for studying purposes.
The main thing that I have had an issue with at my school is the availability of courses, which has affected my graduation plan. I am a Pre-Nursing major who was told before my first Fall semester even began that I missed my chance to graduate in 4 years due to one of my pre-requisite courses being closed during the time that I registered. Before my college experience even officially started, my initial plans for my future had crumbled. This situation was due to understaffing, which affects the Nursing program overall.

Some of my professors are not so tech-savvy, making learning quite a challenge. There has been little classmate interaction. The flexibility and convenience is nice, however the learning experience is a little less than optimal.

Overall, I believe the University of Guam is a challenging yet fulfilling learning place. I graduated from the Guam Community College prior to attending UOG and have seen lots of differences between the two. I feel more independent at UOG. I get less help from the faculty and staff and although that may seem bad, I feel like I am more in control of MY education. I am not just advancing intellectually, I am also advancing in legitimate adult responsibilities.

Taking online classes has been vital since the pandemic started and there have been challenges for all students and staff. We use the applications Big Blue Button and although it may seem like our best option there are a few things that need to be updated. The fact that professors use their mouse to write on the blank board given to them is so awful. I do not understand majority of what they are writing because the penmanship is awful. Luckily, I have been able to address these concerns with UOG since they had us fill out surveys in order to improve quality of online learning.

I like the small size of the university, which fosters close relationships between classmates and faculty. There is a direct focus on each individual student. However, the small size of the university also has its disadvantages, such as a limited opportunity for growth. Due to a limited amount of faculty, some classes may be hard to get into. This has happened to me in which my course plan had been delayed for a year due to lack of available slots in a particular class.

I have taken a few classes online, such as philosophy, music, world history, and half of my family nursing course (due to covid-19). The university campus offers free wifi, which helps. The classes have also either posted video lectures or in-print lectures to read. Although I prefer in-person classes, I was still able to learn in the course because the professors would link additional educational content, such as videos and simulations.

I took online classes for Spring and Summer semesters. Although UOG has a top-notch plan of switching to online, UOG could improve on more internet connections and student interactions.

Since I was born and raised in Guam, attending the University of Guam is not a problem at all. The staff has been accommodating towards every single student. Although I give this experience a three out of five, the University of Guam never fails to amaze me. By improving on getting more certificates and majors/minors for students, it will raise the bar high.
