It is all so extremely expensive and the staff doesn’t seem to care about the well being of their students. The Acedemic programs and professors are amazing though, the teachers are nice and care about what they’re teaching. The housing could be better and cheaper, and the cost for food is crazy for how low quality it is. The financial aid helpers and directors promised me I’d be paying a lower number and I received my bill and it was much higher. This has happened to so any people.

Loyola is truly one of a kind place. While I was an online student, I did live close enough to the university to attend events on campus. The faculty at Loyola is here to push you and help you with anything that you may need. I could not recommend Loyola more.

I liked Loyola. The only issue was the lack of resources for African American students, in my opinion. I also feel as if the dorms weren't acceptable for students. I feel as if reslife could have been more attentive to students. Overall, my experince was pretty good at Loyola.

it's a very diverse university and there are a lot of nice people affiliated with the staff and among the students. There are people there that don't really understand how to do their jobs and they are really rude. A lot of how you are treated at the school depends on whether you're a student with money or a student going through school on financial aid. It's hard to reach some people unless you have time to go see them because they don't look at emails or respond in appropriate time frames. The dorm rooms are outdated and when students ask for help regarding the dorms they normally have to wait weeks to report the problem and weeks to get it fixed.

I am enrolled in Loyola University New Orleans Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Criminal Justice dual degree program. The counseling program has challenged me in ways that I didn’t think a graduate counseling program would. I am grateful for the feedback from professors and love how diverse the program is. The criminal justice program is all online and is a great way to do both the counseling and criminal justice program!

The school needs to invest more deeply into its staff who do a great deal for the students to succeed academically and in their future careers. They also should invest in their janitorial and dining staff who work a great deal but seem underappreciated by the school. As a Biology student, the education I receive from this department is personalized, diverse, and rooted in research and hands-on learning, which is amazing. I have had the opportunity to pursue personal research projects and be a teaching assistant in a lab in just my first sophom*ore semester. Small colleges are often times very great for the ease of connection you feel with classmates and professors which may allow you as a student to have better opportunities. The school also offers a great deal of knowledge and experience in other fields such as music, theatre, law, business, and psychology.

I graduated from Loyola University New Orleans (Loyno), in the Spring of 2017 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. I learned so much about myself, my peers, and the universe as a whole.
Loyola’s Jesuit educational values challenged me in several ways over the course of my four-year adventure there. I have since broadened my horizons, my intellect, as well as my friend group.
The experiences that I had at Loyno are very precious to me. I would not be the person that I am today with the Wolfpack!

As a current freshmen to Loyola University New Orleans I can confidently say that I've so far been floored with the experience so far. For the most part, staff, faculty, and fellow students have all been welcoming. This is great, as coming from out of state it has made the adjustment all the easier.

The campus is lovely and pretty large. Everything is connected so students can travel to where they need to quickly and efficiently. The dining hall has a variety of different foods, but they don’t have as many pescatarian options as I’d like. The dorms are fine, but I wish it would have been a little cleaner when I first moved in. My biggest thing is that I struggle going there because of the high costs, but I enjoy how many different experiences and opportunities you can cultivate there.

My experience at Loyola University New Orleans was truly transformative. The university's strong commitment to academic excellence, social justice, and community engagement left an indelible mark on my college years. The diverse and inclusive community at Loyola fostered meaningful connections and friendships. The Jesuit tradition of education instilled in me a deep sense of purpose and ethical values. The vibrant city of New Orleans provided a unique backdrop for my academic journey, with its rich cultural heritage and opportunities for personal growth. Loyola's emphasis on community service allowed me to give back and make a positive impact. Overall, Loyola University New Orleans provided not just an education but a holistic and enriching experience.

Loyola operates at the speed of the city of New Orleans in terms of helping students be prepared for their coursework and helping them mentally, the school is incompetent. I've been at Loyno going on three months and it has been the worst period of my life with debilitating depression and other mental illnesses. I don't recommend anyone going here, I've been around colleges and this is the worst, advocating for yourself gets you nowhere in my case. It's cliquey & overhyped due to its location, not its academics or counseling services. I feel on the brink of my depression here, when you attend Loyno you also sign up for Nola's dilatory tactics, whether that be for finding meds and mental health care outside of Loyno, which is incredibly stingy. If you have a mental illness don't come here. It feels like a commuter school and the halls are not as good as halls at other universities. I rated it high so people would see and be forewarned.

I'm a freshman at Loyola NO and so far it has been very underwhelming. I slacked off the last year of high school and chose this as the best option from the few schools I applied to. Anyway, so far it has been very mediocre. They hype up the party scene, the location of New Orleans, and the connection to the prestigious Tulane. None of that is true, the party scene is limited to burbon street and a crappy college bar. The transportation to main new orleans is lengthy and until tourist season NOTHING is going on. I do have a couple professors which I really like and the general staff are nice but seem very underpaid and partially unmotivated. The students are similar, most tell me that they want to transfer and the average student is just average. The problem with loyola is that if you are wanting a insprining edcuation, it fails to provide it. Don't get me started with the commuter students, who come 30 mins late everyday, or Tulane "Spring Scholars" who act superior to loyola students

It’s a very well rounded school, you will find the best of friends and relationships at this school. It will make you feel like you’re not only on your own but you have support for many peers and staff at this school. It feels like a family away from home!!

Loyola University New Orleans is a very diverse school when it comes to its students, however, when it comes to the classes offered it is not. Loyno does not seem to care about their professors or students and this is continuously reflected. The college has been known to have moldy dorm buildings and bathrooms which is unsafe. The tuition for the school is fairly high, yet nothing is being done about the faculty and staff being underpaid or their unhappy students. I do attend this university and hope to see it grow and become a more pleasant place in the future, but something needs to be done about tuition costs compared to moldy dorm buildings and in my opinion, underpaid professors.

My experience and LOYOLA overall has been unique in its own way. I meet other students who are just like me, we all have a dream that we always chasing after. At Loyola University I'm a theater major and a business minor. The training and being introduced to new people is the best part of my college experience. The students in my major make me feel very comfortable with making any mistakes because we're all very supportive of each other. I learn new ways to prepare myself for the world of film and the training I received here at Loyola has helped me with learning how to be a stronger performer.

Since I was born and raised in New Orleans, the environment of the culture surrounding the campus is what makes me the most familiar and comfortable attending school there. As well as the Southern hospitality that comes with being on campus and meeting faculty and students. Loyola University New Orleans is a smaller campus, which makes it easier to stand out to professors and receive personal help or attention, as well as making a mark and finding my place. Overall, Loyola is great for its hospitality and culture.
