Biome Makeover Mod Mechanics

Curse Enchanting:

Curse enchantments made with Altars can be found in the Forest Mansion or crafted.

The curse enchantment will cast a spell on an item, increasing its level by 1 and adding a random curse.

This allows you to get enchantments one level above the normal maximum, such as Fortune IV or Effect VI, as long as you are willing to risk a curse.

With careful planning, you should be able to take advantage of this system.

Making:

For an item to be of value to curse, it must:

  • There was an enchantment
  • Must not be cursed in an altar first
  • Place this item in the top slot of the altar along with the Illunite Shard, this will initiate the curse process.
  • After the process is over, your item will be cursed and a random enchantment will increase by 1 level.
Curse
  • Along with vanilla curses, Biome Makeover adds some curses of its own.

Witch Quests

The Witch Quest is a mechanism where the Witch will reward you for delivering certain items. Items are exchanged for random rewards.

Witch
  • Witches will only be usable for Witch Quests if:
  • The player is wearing a witch’s hat
  • Witches are not part of Raid
  • If those conditions are met, the player will not be attacked by witches and can interact with them to access the quest menu.
  • If the Wizard’s quest interface is open, it will be protected from spawning for 10 minutes. Naming the Witch with a nametag will still prevent it from appearing.
Mission
  • Each Wizard will have 3 quests that can be completed once. Witches will receive a new quest every 17 – 20 minutes.
  • If the player has all the items needed for a quest, that quest will be highlighted in green. Clicking on this quest will remove items from the player’s inventory and give them random rewards.
  • The mission has 4 difficulty levels:
  • Common Uncommon Rare Epic
  • Quest tiers are displayed on a diamond icon next to quest items.
  • The higher the tier, the more likely you are to get rare rewards.
Reward
  • The bonus is divided into four possible tables:
Items
  • This board contains many items nearby potions and magic.
  • Some of the unique loot are:
  • Fragment of light
  • Swamp Jives CD
